Home of the Country Club of the Rockies, a private golf club designed by Jack Nicklaus, Arrowhead at Vail was established in 1983 and has been carefully developed to take advantage of remarkable natural beauty that provides an unsurpassed range of summer and winter recreational opportunities.
Building sites within Arrowhead are each unique and have been developed subject to covenants and guidelines designed to create pre-established patterns of land development and to ensure structures are designed to conform to overall design principles first established in 1983. View corridors and careful placement of building envelopes relative to golf course, skiway and pedestrian linkages have played an important role in the overall development of the community. New projects on remaining sites within Arrowhead or Arrowhead Mountain Estates, established in 2001, are to be designed to respect historic patterns and character of development while incorporating current design and building material guidelines.
The Arrowhead Design Review Committee consists of two professional architects and three homeowner representatives. Together with the Design Review staff, they serve the community by assisting Owners and their architects through the design review process and should be thought of as a member of the “design team”.
